About Us

Sanjaal Corps is an online platform, run solely by a handful highly professional Software Engineers from Nepal currently residing in US.

Our vision is multifold.

  1. Preserve Nepali Content. This is achieved by gathering, storing and backing up Nepali Literature, Historical pictures and anything Nepal related in the digital form. Our Nepali Content preservation is done in our dedicated domain inepal.org. A lot of authors submit us their literary work on daily basis. At the same time, we also go and collect these contents from over the internet that are dispersed at multiple websites. Centralization of the content is a byproduct of our effort.
  2. Research on Nepali Language Machine Learning. We have already made a lot of progress in this field. Some of the research is published in our nlp.icodejava.com blog, and some of the code is publicly released under github. However, majority of our research work is in private in Bitbcket. We would stay private until we have some tangible products that we can release for the benefit of the Nepali folks in particular.
  3. Be the largest provider of Nepal related data. This is work in progress and has not be published anywhere yet. Just dropping a hint here.

Sanjaal Corps owns and maintains several other domains.

  1. Sanjaal.com – This is the parent website. This is where we put our announcements and is a face of all our work.
  2. iNepal.org – This site contains Nepali Literature, mostly in unicode Devanagari format. Thousands of poems, articles, stories, lyrics have been posted under this domain. We receive tons of contents directly from the authors, some of whom send us their entire books to be published !!
  3. icodejava.com – This is more of a technical blog featuring programming, machine learning research, agile development and android apps.
